At Exceptional Gems, we use Matrix software to build our models for you because only a computer can effectively put together various ideas to form a solid model.

Combined with our years of experience in the high-end jewelry marketplace and Matrix digital studio, we create precision design work. Once the structural and technical pieces of the design are finalized, the item is rendered for customer approval. These images, known as renders, are photo-realistic and give the client an exact image of what their new piece of jewelry will look like.

By using Matrix CAD, we create better products and reduce price margins. We can help you greatly reduce losses due to fixing costly mistakes and the expenses of reworking an item. Occasionally, clients’ minds may change from one day to the next. Or the information the sales associate wrote down about the job was not correct. Physically changing the design of a piece of jewelry that has already been hand-carved in wax or has been cast is difficult and in some cases even impossible. By comparison, changing a computer model is easy and cost effective. The rendered jewelry image has been designed and is viewable in three dimensions, but since the mold has not been printed or cast it is easy to make changes. Everyone benefits and most importantly the customer is happy with their desired piece of jewelry.

If you have already immersed yourself in the wonders of CAD/CAM, we would be happy to print the models of your designs. All you need to do is send us your .stl file and we can print your design. Our printing charge includes 15 minutes of computer time in case we need to add the necessary supports to grow your model. If more computer time is needed, we will call you to discuss the design charge.
